Internet Technologies Angola, S.A. reinforces digital inclusion

As a result of the 10th Charity Golf Tournament, the province of Uíge will be the next beneficiary of computer rooms, with an investment of over 30 million kwanzas.

Paratus has donated another computer room, this time at School Complex No. 12 in Lubango, Huila province. The initiative is part of the company's mission to expand access to information and communication technologies throughout the country. With this initiative, more than 400 children now have access to computer equipment and internet connectivity.

The results achieved by Paratus during the 9th edition of the Charity Golf Tournament enabled it to fulfill its mission of expanding IT knowledge and mastery nationwide.

For ten years, the event has been raising funds to support digital inclusion. Following the inauguration of a computer room in Namibe province in October, the telecommunications company donated computers, servers to store digital educational content, and internet connectivity to School Complex No. 12 in the city of Lubango.

With an installed capacity of 50Mbps, the new computer room at this primary school opens up new possibilities for connecting more than 400 children to the world, reinforcing digital inclusion for students in the province of Huíla.

According to Francisco Pinto Leite, General Manager of Internet Technologies Angola, S.A., "our company's ongoing commitment to digital literacy allows children in our country not only to become familiar with new information technologies, but also to have access to a modern, more comprehensive education that is interconnected with all the possibilities that the global network offers in terms of educational resources and methods." "Our actions are intended to be a serious contribution to achieving the Executive's goals regarding the massive expansion of access to information technologies throughout the country," he said.

As a result of the 10th Charity Golf Tournament, held in September this year, the province of Uíge will be the next to benefit from computer rooms, with an investment of more than 30 million kwanzas supported by funds donated by tournament participants and Paratus.
